The project 365 is still going great for me. I have been having a great time taking photos of all kinds of things. Today I will share some more of some very colorful stuff. On top of all that I've been to two of the Knoxville area photographers group meet ups. Getting some good info out of this as well as getting out and taking more action photos that I have not much experience with.
well here are a couple of the latest shots I've taken here at home. Next time I'll share some of the ones from the Eskimo escapades where people water skied in the freezing river for charity.
This site is set up for people who have a passion when it comes to photography. This is a place where I share my experiences. I give reviews of products out there and even give you examples of things you can use as well as make to save money. View my photos that are linked to this page. Please feel free to leave comments about the blogs posted here. Thank you and happy shooting.

Colorful idea
If you take a crystal rose and add some light to it and what do you get? Some beautiful colors and a photo that's not too bad. I'm still doing project 365 which I had discussed long ago in one of my blogs. If you don't remember what it was heres the just of it. What you do is commit yourself to take a picture a day for and entire year. If you do this, you will see great improvement from the beginning to the end. So now that I covered that again I'll share another one of my shots with you.
As you can see they all reflect different colors as I moved the light around the flower. Personally I don' think that any of these are bad, just different. I ask you to sick with it if you have already started. And if you have not. Try it and see how your photography improves during the year.
Wishing you all the best and may 2012 bring you all the success you seek. Don't forget to check the Flickr site regularly. (link is to the right My photos).

Bright idea
Well it's not that bright considering the light was not turned on. Okay I'm not going to do a lot of rambling today. This blog is focusing more on the art of photography and going to show you that the simplest of items can be beautiful and artistic. now you can look at a couple photos and see how you like them. any comments are welcome. I'll let you decide what they are on your own.

Great opportunities.
It's still cold outside but that isn't going to stop a photographers from getting out. Theres so much to do out there. The (Knoxvilleareaphotographers) meet-up group has several events coming up and I plan to get to a few of them. On the 27th there is a (Nature and landscape) seminar. This event is completely full and even has people on a waiting list. Shows that people around here truly love outdoors.
Saturday the 28th there's the Eskimo escapades. 10-3 there will be people skiing in the river by Vols landing. Great opportunity to get action shots. These people will deal with the cold and ski to raise money for some charities around the area. so get your skis or your camera and join us.
There is a photo exhibit planned for March and April or May and June. Dates aren't set yet but it will be one of the two month periods. Yes I'll have my work on exhibit there.
For more details you can go to ( http://www.meetup.com/knoxvilleareaphotographers/ ). If you watch this blog, you probably love photography. So if your anywhere near the Knoxville area look them up and join the fun. You can learn from some others or share your knowledge with them. Heres a photo I plan to take to the exhibit.
Both of these look great in print and are 11"x14". We have not found out yet if the photos will be aloud to be sold at the exhibit. Once it gets closer and I have more info, I'll share it with you all. I do know that it will be at the Burlington Library on Ashville Hwy in Knoxville.

What's going on?
Sometimes I just don't know what's going thru other peoples head. They go off thinking that they know what the heck they want to do and out of nowhere they make a 180 degree turn. I guess it's because I know what I can and can't do. If you grab your things and head out to start another chapter of your life why don't you carry out your plans? As I like to say "If your not going forward your going backwards." How will I ever have enough chapters in my life to make a book if I kept going back to the past chapter? Well thats enough ranting about other peoples choices they make.
Back on task. I'm ready for the photography meet-up coming up on the 27th. 30 photographers will meet and go over wildlife and landscape photography. I then have one coming up on shooting with a single lens. We'll all meet at the river front and do some picture taking with only one lens. I tend to switch from wide to telephoto a lot so this will be interesting. Theres no date for that one yet but it will be soon.
Now the great one will be coming up in March - April. There is going to be a two month exhibit at a nearby library. They say if we have enough photos to display, we may switch out our work after the first month. This would also be great because I will be able to show twice as much of my work. The exposure we get from this is wonderful. I'm hoping that we can get more of these scheduled in the future. Well thats the news for this week. You all take care and keep doing what you enjoy.

New Year New Opportunities.
Well it's 2012 and the year is already starting out a little different then the past years. I have been told about a photography meet up group here in the Knoxville area. I looked them up and joined in. So far it is working out well. I have received several compliments on my photos and will be going to one of the workshops on nature and landscape photography. I'm very excited about going and meeting other photographers. The meet up group has a wide variety of people from ammeter to professionals. This meeting is going to have 30 people attending so I will be able to meet and network with several others that share my passion for photography. I've already signed up for another meet up, but the location has not been set as of yet. I think this is one of my best opportunities that have come along in a very long time. If you have a strong interest in something like photography, hiking, book groups, etc. I highly recommend you look for meet-up online and find people in your area that share the same interest. If there is not a meet up group with your interest in your area, you can start your own. As usual I will share a couple photos with you for your enjoyment.

Welcome new year.
Okay, It is 2012 now and that means it is time to make your new yearly resolutions. Well I have never made any in the past and wondering if I should do it this year??? What is a resolution anyways, It sounds to me like you are just setting your goals for the upcoming year. So if this is the case I will get involved this year. As you can probably tell my goal is photography based. I've already tracked down some organizations and signed up for them. these will give me more opportunity to get out in the field as well as get some advise from others in the same profession. I wish you all a happy new year and hope that yours moves you forward as I plan mine too.
